November 1, 1997
The previous
microgravity science mission flown in July of 1997 has yielded a rich
harvest of science information that is still providing benefits to the National
Interest. USMP-4, scheduled for launch in November 1997, is the next step
in our ongoing efforts to use the unique environment of space for scientific
research, and to bring the benefits of that research to life on Earth. During
the mission, you'll find extensive coverage of the science research being
conducted aboard the space shuttle Columbia and why that research
is important to the future of America and the world.
