Experimental Vector Magnetograph

The Experimental Vector Magnetograph (EXVM) is a MSFC Solar Physics Branch prototype instrument designed to measure vector magnetic fields on the Sun from space. It incorporates a 30 cm telescope with a Fabry-Perot filter and a 2048X2048 CCD array. The instrument will use a polarimeter designed to gain better sensitivity to the transverse component of the magnetic field.
