Why Study Microgravity Science?

The Microgravity Science Laboratory-1 (MSL-1) carries experiments in general research, plus three primary science areas:

• Biotechnology / Protein Crystal Growth,
• Materials Science / Metals and Alloys, and
• Combustion Physics - The Science of Burning, and
• General Microgravity Science.

Of course, you might ask, "What is microgravity?", and how can you conduct science without gravity? ...After all, Sir Issac Newton's science was gravity!!!
